Join the Prison Ministry at Abundant Life Church International

Our Prison Ministry is re-launching, and we are looking for dedicated volunteers to help us make a real difference in the lives of those incarcerated. At Abundant Life Church International, we are passionate about bringing the love of Christ to every corner of the community, and our prison ministry is a vital part of that mission.

How You Can Help

Volunteers in our Prison Ministry will have the opportunity to serve by visiting correctional facilities, leading Bible studies, providing prayer, and offering support to those seeking spiritual growth. Whether you’re mentoring one-on-one or assisting with logistics, your involvement is crucial in helping others experience the transformative power of Jesus Christ.

Volunteer Requirements

To ensure that our ministry is safe and effective, all volunteers must complete the following three steps:

  1. Complete the Waiver Form
This form ensures that you understand the responsibilities and guidelines of serving in the prison ministry.
  2. Complete the Application with Consent for Background Check
For the safety of all involved, a background check is required. By completing the application with consent, you will help us maintain a secure environment for both volunteers and those we serve.
  3. Submit the Completed Documents
Once you have completed the waiver form and application, please submit them to Sister Andrea Holland to ensure that you are added to the Prison Ministry roster for our church. You can submit the documents by:

Paper Copies Available
If you are not tech-savvy or prefer to fill out a paper copy of the forms, we will have printed copies available in the church foyer.

Training

Training classes will be provided by Guilford County for all approved volunteers. This training is essential to prepare you for the responsibilities and safety protocols involved in serving within the correctional system. Further details about the training schedule will be provided after your application is reviewed.
