Faith Unfiltered: Volume 1

Grace Over Judgment

Welcome to Faith Unfiltered, the new blog from ALCI! This space is designed for honest conversations about faith—without filters, without pretense, and without fear. Here, we’ll explore the questions, struggles, victories, and doubts that come with living a life fully devoted to Christ, and how that faith can reach others.

Faith is not always neat. It’s not always polished, predictable, or comfortable. Real faith wrestles. It asks hard questions. It shows up with doubt, brokenness, and hope all tangled together. Faith Unfiltered is about creating space for that kind of honesty.

For too long, many people have felt they had to hide their struggles to belong in church. They’ve learned to filter their stories, mask their pain, and pretend they have it all together—out of fear of being judged. As a result, some have quietly slipped away, believing church was not a place for people like them.

But Jesus never asked people to filter themselves before coming to Him. Over and over, we see Christ welcoming the very ones others rejected—the sinner, the outcast, the doubter, the weary. His approach wasn’t judgment first, change later. It was relationship first, transformation following. Grace opened the door, and truth did its work in time.

When judgment becomes our loudest message, it doesn’t protect holiness—it pushes people away from the Gospel. And when people feel unwelcome, souls are not won. The mission of the church suffers, not because truth is spoken, but because love is missing.

Soul winning begins with love, not condemnation. When people feel safe enough to listen, honest enough to open up, and loved enough to stay, the Holy Spirit can work in their hearts. Every act of grace, every moment of genuine care, every word spoken in love becomes a seed planted—seeds that can grow into transformed lives. Faith is meant to be shared, not hidden, and this blog seeks to equip and inspire us to reach others with the hope we’ve received.

This doesn’t mean ignoring sin or watering down truth. It means trusting that the Holy Spirit convicts better than we ever could, and that real change happens through encounter, not exclusion.

Through this blog, we’ll share stories, reflections, devotionals, and practical guidance for living a faith-filled life—open, honest, unafraid, and actively sharing the Gospel. Whether you’re a longtime believer, exploring your faith, or returning after a long break, this is a space for you.

As we begin this series, our prayer is simple:
May we be a church known more for grace than judgment, more for welcome than walls, and more for love than labels. May our faith be real, our hearts open, and our doors wide—so that all who enter might meet Christ. And may our lives, words, and actions help win souls for His kingdom.

This is Faith Unfiltered. And this is just the beginning.
